  • Take 2 to 3 tablespoons of curd in a bowl and whisk it with a fork.
  • Add the whisked curd to 2 tablespoons of besan.
  • Mix it thoroughly using a spoon and apply this mixture to your face and neck.
  • Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
  • Follow this method once in 2 days.

5. Besan and Turmeric Mask

Turmeric controls the excess production of sebum. Its cleansing properties help to eliminate accumulated oil, impurities, dirt and dead skin cells from the skin surface.

  • Combine 2 tablespoons of besan and 1 teaspoon of turmeric in a bowl.
  • Add some water to it to make a thick paste.
  • Apply this paste all over your face and neck.
  • Let it dry on its own and then wash off with water.
  • Repeat the process 3 times in a week.

6. Sugar and Besan scrub

The combination of sugar and besan helps to remove the impurities from the skin surface and open up the clogged pores. In addition, sugar contains glycolic acid, a type of alpha-hydroxy acid that helps to maintain perfect oil balance of the skin.

  • Take 2 tablespoons of besan in a bowl.
  • Add some water to it and mix well to form a paste.

  • Leave it on for another 15 minutes and then wash off with water.

Note – You can use brown sugar instead of refined white sugar for this scrub because brown sugar has finer granules that don’t cause microscopic tears on the skin.

7. Besan and Cucumber Face Pack

Cucumber hydrates and moisturizes the skin without making it oily. Its natural astringent properties close the enlarged skin pores and help to reduce sebum production.

  • Peel and grate 1/2 of a cucumber and chop it into small pieces.
  • Put the cucumber pieces in a blender and blend it.
  • Take the cucumber puree in a container and add 2 to 3 tablespoons of besan to it.
  • Mix it using a spoon and apply this mixture to your face and neck.
  • Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash off with water.

8. Besan and Orange Peel Mask

  1. These look really helpful. I was recommended to use gram flour and water for my face since I have some blemishes on there and my skin being oily around my forehead and nose.
    I was wondering if it’s a good idea to use coconut oil after using the gram flour and water to moisturize my face?

    1. Yes, you can. Besan helps to absorb the excess oil and exfoliate the impurities on the skin. Honey locks moisture in the skin cells. The lactic acid present in the curd helps to balance the pH levels which reduce the excess oil production on the skin.

  2. Can I use basan as whiteheads remover mixing it with only water? I have oily skin with pimple so can I use basan as white head remover from affected area?
