  • It deeply cleanses the pores, removes dirt and dust.

How to Use Milk for Skin Whitening

1) Milk

  • Soak a cotton pad in cold raw milk and wipe your skin thoroughly.
  • Let it sit for 5 minutes and rinse off with cold water.
  • Repeat 2 times daily.
  • Alternatively, Pour raw milk in ice cubes tray and refrigerate them. Take 1 ice cube daily and massage in circular motions.

2) Milk with Honey

  • Mix 1 teaspoon each of organic honey or milk.
  • Massage the mixture gently in a circular motion for 2 minutes.
  • Let it rest for 20 minutes and rinse off with cool water.
  • Repeat the process daily.

3) Milk with Cucumber

  • Blend 3 slices of cucumber with 1 teaspoon milk or mix 3 tablespoons cucumber juice and 1 tablespoon milk.
  • Apply the mixture on skin and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse off with water and pat the skin dry.
  • Repeat daily.

4) Milk with Sugar and Aloe Vera

Sugar removes the impurities and aloe vera hydrates the skin.

  • Mix 3 tablespoons milk and 1 teaspoon each of sugar and aloe vera gel.
  • Apply a layer of the mixture on skin and let it rest 5 minutes.
  • Apply another layer and let it rest for another 5 minutes.
  • Rinse off with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • Repeat 3 times a week.

5) Peel off Mask with Milk

  • Dissolve 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder in 2 tablespoons of warm milk.
  • Add a pinch of turmeric and stir well.
  • Wipe your face with cotton swab dipped in rose water.
  • Apply 3 layers of the mixture and let it completely dry.
  • Peel the mask in upward direction.
  • Rinse with cool water and pat dry.
  • Repeat once in a week.
  • Alternatively, use egg white instead of gelatin.

6) Milk with Chickpea flour and lemon juice

  • Mix 2 tablespoons chickpea flour and 1 tablespoon each of milk and lemon juice.
  • Wash your skin with warm water and apply the mixture.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • Repeat daily before taking bath.

7) Milk with Sandalwood Powder and Clay

  • Combine 1 tablespoon each of sandalwood powder and mud.
  • Add enough amounts of milk and mix well.
  • Apply the mixture on clean skin and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
  • Repeat 3 times a week.

8) Milk with Lemon

  • Soak a slice lemon in 1/2 cup of milk for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the lemon slice and rub the resulting mixture on the skin.
  • After 20 minutes, rinse off with water.
  • Repeat 3 times a week.

9) Milk with Rice

  • Grind the uncooked rice into powder or use store bought.
  • Mix 1/2 cup rice powder with enough water to make a paste.
  • Apply the mixture and leave it for 25 minutes.
  • Rinse off with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • Repeat daily.

10) Milk with Almonds

  • Soak 5 almonds in water overnight.
  • Next morning, grind them to make a fine paste.
  • Add 4 teaspoons milk, mix well and apply the paste on the skin.
  • After 30 minutes, rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
  • Repeat 3 times a week.

11) Milk with Cucumber

  • Combine equal amounts of cucumber juice and raw milk.
  • Apply it on clean and leave until it dries completely.
  • Wash it off with water and pat dry.
  • Repeat the process daily.
  • Alternatively, you add coconut water into the mixture.

12) Milk with Gram Flour

Process 1:

  • Combine enough amounts of gram flour and milk to make a thick paste.
  • Spread an even layer of the mixture.
  • Leave it on to dry completely.
  • Gently scrub off the mixture and rinse off with water.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times daily.
  • Alternatively, you can add almond paste into the mixture.

Process 2: with Orange Peel Powder

  • Combine 1/2 tablespoon each of milk and orange peel powder, 1 tablespoon gram flour and a pinch of turmeric (optional).
  • Spread an even layer on the skin.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with water and pat the skin dry

Process 3: with Rice Powder

  • Combine enough amounts of milk, 2 tablespoons of gram flour, 1 tablespoon rice powder and enough amounts of milk to make a fine paste.
  • Apply this mixture over the skin.
  • Let it rest for 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with cold water and pat the skin dry.
  • Repeat the process for 2 – 3 times a week.

14) Milk with Oatmeal

Process 1:

  • Combine 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1 cup of water.
  • Cook them for 10 – 15 min till it gets soft.
  • Let it to cool down. Apply this mixture over the skin.
  • Let it rest for 30 minutes and gently scrub for few minutes.
  • Wash with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat the process daily.

Process 2: with Sugar and Honey

  • Combine enough amounts of oatmeal, sugar and milk.
  • Spread the mixture over the skin.
  • Gently massage the application in circular motion.
  • After massaging for few minutes, rinse off with warm water.
  • Repeat the process once in a week.

Process 3: with Cinnamon and Rosemary

  • Combine enough amounts of milk, 1 cup uncooked oatmeal, 1 teaspoon ground rosemary and a dash of ground cinnamon to make a thick paste.
  • Stir well and store the mixture in an airtight container.
  • Keep the mixture away from light or extreme heat.
  • Before bathing, take a small amount of the mixture and gently scrub it for few minutes.
  • Wait for 20 minutes and rinse it off with warm water.
  • Follow this process once in 2 days.

15) Milk with Papaya

  • Blend 1 cup of papaya chunks with 3 tablespoons of milk.
  • Spread the mixture over the skin.
  • Let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times a week.

16) Milk with Potato and Glycerin

Process 1:

  • Grate a small potato and extract juice from it.
  • Mix extracted potato juice, 1 teaspoon milk and few drops of glycerine.
  • Apply this mixture over the skin.
  • After 15 minutes, clean it off with water.
  • On regular application, you can lighten the skin.
  • Alternatively, you can blend one potato with enough amounts of milk to make a thick paste.

Process 2: with Rice Flour

  • Combine 1 tablespoon each of rice powder, potato pulp and milk to make a thick paste.
  • Spread this mixture over the skin.
  • Let it rest for 20 – 25 minutes.
  • Clean it off with water and pat the skin dry.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times a week.

17) Milk with Tomato

  • Combine 1/2 cup each of tomato juice and milk.
  • Apply this mixture over the skin.
  • After 20 minutes, rinse it off with cold water.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times a week.
  • Alternatively, you can blend a tomato and milk together.

18) Milk with Turmeric

  • Combine 1 teaspoon milk and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric.
  • Using fingers or facial brush, apply an even layer on the skin.
  • Let it rest for an hour and rinse it off with water.
  • Repeat this process 3 times a week to notice the results.
  • If you skin is still stained with yellow, dip a cotton ball in milk and gently rub over the skin. Rinse off.

Tips and Precautions:

  • If you are lactose intolerant or allergic to milk then avoid using it.
  • Trying out remedies with milk can be messy so make sure to wear an old t-shirt while trying applying them.
  • Raw milk provides effective and better results than boiled milk.
  • Exfoliate regularly to remove the accumulated dead skin and unclogs the pores.
  • Apply sunscreen before going out in the sun.
  • Include fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin A, C and B.
  • If you didn’t get results from the above methods then try other home remedies. Because what works for me may not work for you and vice versa.
  • Avoid stress and exercise regularly to maintain good skin elasticity.
  • Remove make up before going to bed.
  • Steaming before applying any remedies provides better results as it open the pores.
