weight loss teaThere are so many teas out there, but which is best for weight loss?  There are studies that show how incredibly good the tea for you in both health (like preventing dental decay, arthritis, cancer, heart stokes and other cardiovascular diseases) and weight loss concerns. Some of these teas speed up your digestion, reduce your bad cholesterol levels and can actually help your shrink fat cells!

Weight loss is defined as burning more calories than you consume. You can achieve this by eating not excessively and more healthily, exercise regularly, and drink these teas!

Here are some teas that will help you get results fast!

1. Ballerina Tea for Weight Loss:

Ballerina tea is also known as 3 ballerina tea  or Dieter’s Tea, and is considered a weight loss product. This weight loss is a side effect of the real function as a diuretic and laxative. The natural ingredients help to detoxify the body and cleanse the colon.

3 Ballerina tea has active ingredients like cassia angustifolia (Senna) and malva verticellata (Chinese mallow). Method – 1: (Ballerina Tea)

  • Place a 3 ballerina tea bag in a mug.
  • Pour in 2 cups of boiling water, allow it to steep for 2 – 4 minutes.
  • Take out the tea bag and drink.
  • After drinking for a week, you can reduce the water to one cup.
  • Make sure to drink this 3 times a day after meals.

Method – 2: (Dieter’s Tea)

  • Place a dieter tea bag in a mug.
  • Boil 1 ½ cup of water and pour into the mug.
  • Leave for 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Take out that tea bag and drink either in hot or cold.
  • Be sure to follow the instructions that are provided as dosage can be different for different brands.
  • Drink this tea 3 times a day.

2. Dandelion Tea for Weight Loss:

Dandelion tea has diuretic properties that cause water weight loss. It has no calories, therefore is an excellent choice for weight loss.

Taking dandelion tea before meals or using in your cooking promotes fat and cholesterol breakdown, as it makes you feel full. It detoxifies the body to lower the fat content and blood cholesterol, resulting in weight loss.

Method – 1:

  • Boil a glass of water and add a fresh, cleaned dandelion root.
  • Let it steep for about 5 – 10 minutes.
  • Strain the tea to discard the roots and consume this tea up to 3 times a day.

Method – 2:

  • Chop 1/2- 2 teaspoons of dried dandelion root and place in a saucepan containing a quart of boiling water.
  • Boil for 5 – 10 minutes before straining.

  • Alternatively, you can use dandelion tea bags.

3. Detox Tea:

It detoxifies the liver which helps to digest carbohydrates and that further help to boost the metabolism. Ask your doctor or herbal medicinal practitioner for your specifications and needs. A few varieties are: fennel and hibiscus tea for weight loss detox; dandelion and milk thistle for liver detox; cinnamon, clove, cardamom seeds, ginger and black pepper for blood and colon detox; green tea for metabolism and whole body detox.

Method – 1:

  • Grate a teaspoon of both burdock root and fresh ginger, not too finely.
  • Crumble a tablespoon of dried mint leaves and add all ingredients to a tea strainer.
  • Pour boiling water into a tea cup with the strainer.
  • Allow to steep for about 10 minutes until the tea turns blue.
  • Remove the tea strainer from the cup and add the juice of a lemon.
  • Mix it well and drink the tea as it is.
  • Drink three times a day with each meal.

Method – 2:

  • Take 2 parts each of dried dandelion leaf, dried cleavers, dried red clover blossoms and dried stinging nettle, and one part dried chaparral.
  • Place all ingredients in a dark colored glass jar and shake well.
  • Boil 4 cups of distilled or spring water and pour over the herbs.
  • Add a teaspoon of freshly grated ginger to help counteract the bitter flavor of the chaparral leaf, as well as a little bit of stevia to sweeten.
  • 2 tablespoons of detox tea mixture can be added if you wish.
  • Cover it and let it steep the tea for about 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Pour through a fine tea strainer or mesh sieve into a separate clean mug.
  • Drink this immediately.

Note:

  • Chaparral is a powerful detoxification herb, but it is difficult to find it. It can be left out or else replaced with sage or other herbs.
  • Some herbs can have side effects like: upset stomach, diarrhea, headaches, joint pains, dehydration (a lot of fluid loss) etc.

4. E – Z Herbal Tea for Weight Loss:

  • Pour boiling water over a tea bag.

Note:

  • While drinking pu-erh tea for weight loss, you have to eat small, frequent and healthy food like salads, fresh fruits and vegetables, soups, etc. When the goal weight is achieved, you can eat normally but continue to drink the tea.
  • Drinking more than 5 cups a day can have some side effects.

6. Black Tea for Weight Loss:

Black tea is obtained from the camellia sinensis plant, the leaves are left to oxidize after they are picked, making it different from other types of tea. It accelerates the process of losing weight by boosting the metabolism rate of the body, blocking the fattening effects of carbohydrates.   • Take 6 ounces of water and place on the tea kettle. Heat this to a rolling boil or between 200˚ to 212˚F.
  • Then place 2 – 3 gms of black tea leaves in a cup and pour boiling water over them.
  • Cover the teapot and steep for about 4 – 7 minutes.
  • Strain the leaves and add warm milk (optional).
  • Add honey or any sweetener to that tea to taste, and stir well.
  • Drink this slowly and regularly to promote the weight loss and for effective results.

Note:

Take 2 – 3 cups of  black tea daily, reduces the risk of getting heart attacks, kidney stones, parkinson’s diseases, hardening of arteries, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, stomach disorders, vomiting, tooth decay, high blood pressure, etc.

7. Parsley Tea for Weight Loss:

Parsley tea has long been used as a weight loss tea due to its diuretic properties. It eliminates the excess water weight in the body and makes you lose weight. It has low calories, fat and sugar levels and it also has rich source of vitamins like A, C and K and also potassium, folate, calcium, phosphorus and quercetin (flavonoid).

Method – 1:

  • Boil a pot of water and then add 1/4 cup of fresh parsley leaves.
  • Allow to boil for about 5 minutes.
  • Strain the water and discard the parsley leaves.
  • Drink this tea 2-3 times a day.

Method – 2:

  • Pour 2 teaspoons of dried parsley into a cup of boiling water.
  • Cover and allow it to steep for about 10 minutes.
  • Strain the tea and drink 3 times a day.
  • You could also use teabags instead of the dried leaves.

Method – 3:

  • Take 1 quart of boiling water and add a large bunch of parsley, 1 chopped blackberry leaf, 1 chopped dandelion leaf, 10 cherry stems and 1/2 teaspoon of celery tops, couch grass, corn silk and fennel seeds.
  • Stir it well and steep it for few minutes.
  • Strain the tea and drink this throughout the day.

Note:

  • Parsley tea should not be confused with supplements like hoodia.

8. Yerba Mate Tea for Weight Loss:

Yerba mate (a.k.a. Mate) tea is obtained by brewing the leaves of yerba mate shrubs. It contains an ingredient called Mateine (which is similar to caffeine but without any known side effects) which helps to speed up the metabolism and also increases your energy. It contains 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids and anti-oxidants. It also reduces the cholesterol by decreasing bad (LDL) cholesterol and increasing good (HDL) cholesterol. However, don’t take more than 2-3 cups.

Method – 1:

  • You will need: tea kettle, mate-gourd, bombilla – sipper, sugar bowl, thermo and a spoon.
  • Pour yerba mate into a mate-gourd until it is 3/4 full.
  • Cover the opening with a hand and Invert it.
  • Shake it vigorously for about 5 – 8 seconds.
  • Place water in a tea kennel and boil.
  • Pour over the yerba and steep it for few seconds to soak in the water.
  • Place the sipper in the mate so that the filter end is in the hollow part of the brewing and cover the mouth of the bombilla with your thumb.
  • When it begins to brew, add remaining water and sugar or any other sweetener.
  • Keep this water at constant temperature without letting it boil.
  • Sip this tea with the sipper and repeat as needed.

Method – 2:

  • Take 8 – 12 ounces of cold brewed yerba mate and add this to 8 – 12 ounces of lightly sweetened bottle green tea.
  • Combine both the ingredients and drink. (You can also store this in the fridge).
  • Drink this tea daily, early morning.

Method – 3:

  • Take 8 ounce of cold-brewed yerba mate, a teaspoon of lemon juice, and a teaspoon of clover honey
  • Mix it well and add ice.
  • Drink regularly.

9. Fennel Tea for Weight Loss:

Fennel tea contains many health benefits and it’s packed with high content of potassium, magnesium, calcium, vitamin B and C. It acts as an appetite suppressant and a metabolism booster that helps a lot in cutting down the extra calories from your body. It also flushes out the toxins from your body by cleansing the colon.

Method – 1:

  • Stir a teaspoon of fennel seeds and 2 teaspoons of nettle leaves in 3 cups of boiling water.
  • Steep for few minutes.
  • Strain the tea into tea cup and add any flavor like honey or lemon juice or Stevia.

Method – 2:

  • Pour 4 teaspoons of fennel seeds in 2 pints of boiling water.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer it for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove it from the heat and cover for about 5 – 7 minutes.
  • Strain the tea and drink either hot or cold about 3 – 4 times a day.

Note:

  • Fennel is toxic if taken in large doses, so drink the recommended dosage as prescribed by the doctor or nutritionist.
  • Fennel tea works best if combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

10. Garlic Tea for Weight Loss:

Garlic is an herb that acts as an appetite suppressant. It contains the hormone leptin that reduces the fat by speeding up the metabolism, It also contains anti-oxidants and antibiotics like allicin and phytocide that controls the cholesterol levels.

Method – 1:

  • Boil a cup of water then remove from the heat.
  • Add 2 – 3 cloves of crushed garlic.
  • Allow to steep for about 5 – 10 minutes and then strain the tea.
  • Add a little of honey and lemon juice and stir well.

Method – 2:

  • Take 4 cloves of garlic (minced), 4 chunks of fresh grated ginger root, juice of a fresh lemon and a small dash of cayenne pepper.

  • Steep it for about 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Strain the tea and consume regularly.

Note:

  • Chopping and steeping the garlic has to stand for at least 10 – 12 minutes before exposing it to heat as it helps to preserve allicin and aids weight loss.
  • Consult a doctor about the best dosage.

11. Ginger Tea for Weight Loss:

Ginger tea stimulates appetite, digesting your meal better by producing enough digestive juices that makes you feel full. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-obesity effects that allows for the healthy weight loss.

Method – 1:

  • Wash 1 inch of fresh ginger root and cut into pieces.
  • Boil 1 ½ cup of water and add the ginger.
  • Cover and steep it for 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Strain the tea and squeeze the juice of half a lemon into it.
  • Stir it well and sip it slowly.
  • Consume once or twice a day.

Method – 2:

  • Boil 4 cups of water and add ¾ teaspoon of ground ginger.

  • Strain into mug and add honey and few drops of lemon.
  • Drink regularly 2 – 3 times a day.

Method – 3:

  • Mix half a tablespoon of cinnamon powder and ginger powder into a cup of boiling water.
  • Drink once a day in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • Consult the doctor before drinking as it can lead to other health problems if you’re using any medications.

12. Lemon Tea for Weight Loss:

Lemon tea helps for hydration and boosts immunity. It contains many nutrients that fights against diseases and aids in weight loss and stress release.

Drinking lemon tea helps you to fight against the sugar cravings and enhances the body’s absorption of cachetins, an anti-oxidants that fight against the abdominal fat. Avoid over drinking this lemon tea as it can cause some effects.

Method – 1:

  • Add a teaspoon of tea powder or tea leaves to boiling water.

This tea tastes similar to many black or herbal teas, but contains a laxative element. Make sure that not to drink too many cups of diet tea as there could be some side effects.

  1. Senna has som pretty bad side effects that you guys should look up and make sure ur detox teas don’t have caffeine or senna cause they have some pretty bad side effects , just look it up!
